Recently u heard of blizzard's resil change to double it. and i see aff locks have 3.2k sp in s7 gear guess thats alot more with s8. so resil/soulink/crtic dots for alot..... Onew revamped sl/sl? share your opinions.

54/17 is technically an SL/SL spec, and has been a popular build since Wotlk. It is now more powerful than destro with the recent resil changes and nerfs to conflagrate burst.

Because enchants/gems/trinkets/everything must be different to be good affli lock. It's not only tallent change.

ye only had the 3700 sp but no haste so, like 140

I don't care much, but it will be best if sl/sl is on the top again and all IpwnNoobs warlocks will be sl/sl instead of destro...

Destruction, imho, is not very faceroll/bursty anymore. If you're playing against people with high amounts of resilience, your conflagrate and chaos bolt won't hit/crit for much since the nerf to conflagrate combined with the hotfix to resilience.

Affliction, on the other hand, pursues damage with DoTs...which aren't affected by resilience, making affliction the much more favorable spec for arena/PvP. I'd say Destruction is the new "starter" spec for new 80 warlocks because you don't need insane spellpower/stats to burst down another newbie in a battleground with zero resilience. However, when the player has achieved higher gear & stats, affliction is the better choice for PvP, whether it be in battlegrounds or the arena.

I'm glad where the warlock class is. I still see too many destro wannabes in battlegrounds, but like I said before, that's mostly because they're undergeared.

Though, I'm still waiting for a new soul shard system.
